Rohit Deshmukh to represent SSM at Israel


SSM’ Project Director, Shri Rohit Deshmukh left for Israel on 2nd December, in compliance with an invitation from the Government of Israel.
He is participating an International Training Programme on “Building Sustainable Communities, Leadership, Gender and the Environment”, from 5th December to 22nd December 2016 at MASHAV Caramel Trianing Centre (MCTC), Haifa, Israel.  The training programme is expected to facilitate  great amounts of information exchange and exposure among all the representatives from various Government and Nov Government organisations from different countries.

        Mr. Rohit, hopes to return with further more clarity and determination on SSM’s mission of Rural Development.  The training programme will certainly open new avenues and networking opportunities to work with like -minded organisations for a common cause.

Sagroli students create History at the Zonal Sports Meet

        The athletes of SSM’s schools have demonstrated a feast -for -eyes  performance at the Zonal Level Sprots Meet organized by the State Sport Authority of Maharashtra at Osmanabad on 22nd and 23rd November.
        The athletes from Nanded, Latur and Osmanabad districts have participated the event in large numbers.  All the 13 (Thirteen) participants from Shivaji High school, Sagroli have won almost all the field activities and created a record in the region.
        The events in the series were 100 metres sprint, 4x100 Mts relay (U/19), 3 KM, 5 KM walk, 400 & 600 Mts Sprint (U/14) and so on.

        All the winners were felicitated by the Chairman, S.S. Mandal on their return.

Training conducted on EM Technology for Effective Agriculture :

        KVK, Sagroli has organized a training session for the young farmers on the usage of EM Technology, on 21st November at the campus.
        EM Technology, is an innovative , low cost  and high yielding mechanism , proved as the best alternative to the use of fertilizers and other chemical pesticides.  Over use of fertilizers not only affect the fertility of the soil but also fleeces the farmers on expenditure.  Alternatively, the usage of EM Technology facilitates an  optimum use of micro-organisms, high yield and  cost effectiveness  on farmers.
        Mr. Bhagwat Kawle, Regional co-ordinator, EM Maple Company Ltd. has presented the demonstration of various techniques in the practice of this innovation.

Jadhav couple Registered for Organ Donation

        Mr and Mrs Jadhav, teachers at SSM’s schools have registered donation of their bodies (post death) in a unique act of generosity.
        As a Physical Education teacher at Shivaji High school, Mr Nandu Jadhav is the most favorite to the students.  Besides it, his great deeds of social responsibility, acts of philanthropy
        within the best of his ability placed him at a high reverence among the parents and teachers in the village.


        Mr. Nandu Jadhav has also announced donation of his kidney at the age of 60 i.e. in the year 2038.  The couple have completed formal registration procedures at the Government Ayurveda Medical College, Nanded.

Black Belt awarded to the school children:

        The Traditional and Sports Shotokon Karate Assocation India in association with The District Martial Arts Group-Nanded has, conducted the Black Belt Examination on 13th and 14th November at Nanded.

        Mas. Rushikesh and Mas. Abhijeet  from SSM’s Sainiki Vidyalay, stood top among the winners and were presented with ‘Black-Belt’ in a formal ceremony organized at Nanded.  The Martial Arts (Karate) training is imparted SSM’s schools as an option.  A number of training sessions are also conducted on Self-Defence techniques for the teenage girls. 

Vishwajeet bags medal at State Level Aste-Do-Akhadu competition :

        A state level interschool Aste-do competition was organized at the Sports Complex, Pavani – Dist. Bhandara  during 18th to 20th November.

        Among 250 participants from 8 zones in Maharashtra, the students of SSM have performed meticulously and attracted the Jury’s appreciation.  Mas Vishwajeet Tarte of Sainiki Vidyalaya stood second in the final round of the competition.  Shri Rajesh Talmale, Secretary, State Sports Authority has presented the Medals and certificates to the winners at the valedictory function.
